Amangiri Lite? Aman Launches a More Affordable Hotel Line

The hotel brand that’s responsible for creating Amangiri, everyone’s bucket list property in Utah, has launched a secondary brand that’s more financially accessible but promises to keep luxury at its core.
Anyone who’s stayed at one of Aman’s 32 properties knows they’re a cut above from other hotel groups. But the visit comes with a hefty price tag. Janu, which means soul in Sanskrit, is the name of Aman’s new concept of hotels.
Bloomberg reported that Janu properties will be 30% more affordable and “almost equally high-end” compared to Aman. The brand is opening its first three properties in 2022 in Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, and Tokyo.
Janu is opting for contemporary design throughout its properties that focuses on space and light. The press release also hints at what to expect: “Expansive wellness facilities will offer cutting-edge experiences and treatments and access to the latest equipment as well as extensive hydro and thermal facilities with a focus on finding equilibrium.”
